Ipswich West State Special School is proud to introduce the new Senior School Regulation Room, a thoughtfully designed space focused on supporting student wellbeing.

The room offers a calm and welcoming environment where students can take time to regulate, recharge, and refocus. With a range of quiet activities and resources available, as well as access to a PlayStation for mindful, structured use, students are supported to manage emotions and build independence in a safe, respectful setting.

This space reflects the school’s ongoing commitment to wellbeing, recognising that students learn best when they feel calm, supported, and ready to engage. By providing a dedicated area for self-regulation, the Senior School aims to promote positive outcomes for both learning and emotional growth.

The Regulation Room has already been warmly received, and the school community looks forward to seeing the positive impact it will continue to have on students throughout the year.
